This Friday, The Original Redneck Comic Returns to Atlanta for an Unforgettable Event

Jeff Foxworthy is one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country. Widely known for his redneck jokes, his act goes well beyond that to explore the humor in everyday family interactions and human nature, a style that has been compared to Mark Twain’s. Now, this legendary comic returns to his hometown of Atlanta for a special show at Cobb Energy Centre on March 15th. Don’t miss it!

Foxworthy became famous as an opening act for country music superstars Garth Brooks and Emmylou Harris. He is the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Award nominee and bestselling author of more than 26 books, all of which have sold more than 1 million copies. His first recording, You Might Be a Redneck If..., went double platinum. In 1995, he starred on the sitcom The Jeff Foxworthy Show. He followed with gigs hosting popular television shows such as Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? (2007-10) and The American Baking Competition (2013). In 2014, he was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

Jeff Foxworthy’s background as a comedian serves him well in his current role as host of Game Show Network’s The American Bible Challenge. Setting records in its first season, the Bible-themed game show is a competition where contestants play to win money for their favorite charity. The competition can be fierce, but Foxworthy’s laidback, clean and country-style comedy eases the tension among players and also makes the show more entertaining for those viewing the show at home.

“Foxworthy is especially virtuosic in his physical comedy, his flights of fancy and lightning shifts of tone and mood… he blends all these elements effortlessly. He may define being redneck as possessing ‘a glorious lack of sophistication,’ but the truth is that Foxworthy, for all his regular-guy image, is a decidedly sophisticated artist.” – Los Angeles Times
