It’s in the Cards: An Interactive Art Exhibit in Atlanta

This exhibit coincides with the renovation of the Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL), reopening fall 2015. Its material basis: thousands of recycled MARBL catalog cards and an old wooden card catalog (replaced by the library’s online catalog). The exhibit will consist of old catalog cards transformed by members of the Emory and Atlanta communities into works of art and poetry to be exhibited with the card catalog. The goal of the exhibit is to grow from a few small individual works of creativity into a giant, aggregate, communal work. This Creation Stories Project is sponsored in part by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation through the Emory College Center for Creativity & Art. Related event on April 23. Hours vary; check before you go.
